Our Story

FanGo’s founders are lifelong friends who share a deep love for attending various events. A theme common to many events was the outrageous length of time taken to book tickets and purchase refreshments. In 2017, they started FanGo with intention to disrupt the outdated pre-ordering market. Through hard work and referrals, they grew far beyond their Yorkshire home, becoming a number one Bespoke Event Management software company in the UK. The FanGo system is built to listen, innovate and develop bespoke solution to enhance experiences within the hospitality sector

In 2019, Oli Hilsdon, a close friend of our Directors, lost his battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme. Diagnosed with a Glioblastoma aged 22, Oli was given 12 months to live. Oli fought with relentless optimism and a wicked sense of humour. He ran the London Marathon in under 4 hours raising £60,000 for brain tumour research, worked full time in a job he loved, travelled the world and got married. In January 2019, just 10 days before his 27th birthday, Oli passed away. The FanGo team have worked closely with Oli’s wife to design and develop a complimentary website that allows the charity to seamlessly take donations, promote events and share research.

Responding to the Covid-19 Crisis

;
During the Covid-19 pandemic, FanGo supported their local Mutual Aid volunteers who played a key role in assisting vulnerable members of the community. FanGo developed a complimentary website and a support system to enable members of the public to easily get in contact to request help. As soon as the nationwide lockdown was announced, the FanGo team worked tirelessly to adapt their systems with the aim of offering online solutions to businesses of all sizes to help them cope with the new restrictions and distancing measures. Restaurants, takeaways, high street stores and sports clubs were now able to offer their products and/or services online. The FanGo team are proud that their work in the community was recognised. The team were nominated and won a competition with the Mail on Sunday and were featured in the national press.
